I couldn’t post yesterday – can I today?
Yep. OK, so again it was my hosting company. Probably doing some kind of helpful optimization. Thanks so much.
Hey, how about those Rangers? 1st place Texas Rangers. Beat the Red Sox.
And Tony Stewart got the first driver/owner win since Ricky Rudd in 1998. His closeness to Hendricks takes a bit of the sheen off of that win somewhat. But he did pass the entire field after starting from the absolute back, so there’s still some fight in the old dog. Really good to see. TNT definitely does a better job than Fox, simply because there’s no animated horse-apples fouling the screen.
The IRL race Saturday night was OK. The Versus crew does what I think is a really excellent job on their race broadcast. Maybe they’re a little bit looser, knowing their audience is smaller, but they seem to be a little more personable. It also has a lot to do with the fact that every third sentence out of their mouth isn’t a sponsored sentence.
I did get the garage organized, or at least, things in boxes and on shelves. I really should have been kayaking yesterday, though.
The motorcycle guys never called back — typical Craigslist. They probably found a better deal. We’ll see.
Gotta go to Dallas later today; got a Japanese factory dude coming in for a customer meet-n-greet — whee. Ass-whip of a drive, but I’ll get to see the kids and get a fresh haircut.
