Huh? for the day

Posted by TFG on November 6th, 2008

Why’s there NFL on Thursday night before Thanksgiving? Thank goodness, though…my man Jay Cutler is racking up the points.

Here’s another Huh? Why the hell is the media (teevee was on at the Bitter Old Man’s Lounge) still talking about Sarah Palin? SHE LOST, you dipshits. Go and cover The Lightworker — ask him why the market has done a Wide World of Sports Acapulco cliff dive since the polls closed.

Or are you worried, you sniveling little weasels? I would be, if I were in your [insert poncy footwear here because I don't know]. In the immortal words of Jimi Hendrix, “coming to getcha.”

No Shit. That was a record dive after an election but they sure didn’t want to talk about it

    Poncy footwear: Winklepickers.

I think the mainstream media is busy trying to set the tone so that the public has negative memories of her when she (hopefully) reappears on the national scene in the next few years.

The Ivy League illuminati are attempting to keep away conservatives who motivate the Republican base so effectively.

Let’s hope the liberals stay distracted with the Obama’s new puppy and forget to gripe and nitpick about Palin.

Sarah Palin must be destroyed because she is a threat in 2012 to The One and to the Republican Establishment. Right now the latter piss me off more than the former. Jeb Bush says Republicans need to pander more to the changing demographics. I heard others say on NPR that Boehner’s decision to look to the past and return to basics is a loser. Bullshit. Offer an alternative, not Democrat Lite. Ack. It is going to take someone like a Reagan to stem the illiberal statist tide. I like Sarah Palin, but she eeds another 10-12 years before she can pull that off. Not everyone knows that Ronald Reagan worked for a long, long time to get where he was and to develop his political philosophy fully. I had a friend who remembered him coming to their grade school sometime in the 60’s (IIRC) to talk to them. The man spent a lot of time perfecting his craft. Something to remember about needing to develop a bench and nurture it over the long term. The Left is much better at this than the Right. But then politics is an avocation for most of those on the RIght and a vocation for most of those on the Left.

Saw a headline from PE Obama’s press conference saying he “Promises to Work on the Economy.” Perhaps his beaming staff should tell him he won. It’s not promises we need any more, it is specifics.

I’ll have a post up soon about where I was Friday, but until then, listening to NPR in the car and seeing CNN int he airport, how anyone can think the media isn’t biased is beyond me. Poor PE Obama has such a hard road ahead of him. It’s not like he broke his promises and spent $600 million to get the job or anything. And if I hear another story about the soon to be first dog, I think I’ll puke.

I think the media is scared shitless. It they criticize The One, they know they will be shut out of all press conferences going forward. They fear the revenge that will be coming.
