Road Notes, pre-Turkey Day

Posted by TFG on 17th November 2008

  • Dear cheapie motels, I appreciate your value, but please don’t cheap out on the pillows any longer. Towels, soap, teevee channels, sheets, the contintental breakfast, OK - just never the pillows. Yrs, TFG
  • The Toyota Tundra is really a nice full-size pickup (rental while they fix my F150.) **I** can’t believe I’m saying that, either.
  • I forgot how bad having dry areas suck. I’m staying in Irving, had to drive to Grand Prairie for a six-pack.
  • Cajun food with the kids is an absolute treat. Ah, the humble crawdad. I’m so glad Dodie’s is still going. Worth every nickel. I’m eating Walmart fried chicken for dinner tonight, but it’s worth it. Why can’t Mexico Jr. do that Cajun thing anyway?

OK, then - ask the Lord to bless me with sun, so I can get on out of here, and get this rental out from under me, and get the invoice turned in. Whee.

I could live with this…

Vanderleun:

Add those up and Palin not only has the power to not only lead the party, she has the power to split the party. In that Palin has the base to create what Washington dreads most, a viable third party; an entity that would seal the doom of the Republicans even more than they have themselves.

And that’s why all those in the “Politics and Media as Usual” crowd hate her. Reason enough to love her in my opinion…. even if she wasn’t a hot babe.

Quite easily, in fact. Anything to bust up that freaking Cocktail Party Cartel of Bosnywash.
