He ain’t even an American and he knows

As I’ve written elsewhere this election isn’t entirely about McCain vs Obama, nor even Democrat vs Republican, or even Liberal vs Conservative. For many of those who have lost confidence in the political, economic and cultural elites that have long led the nation it is really about us versus them. The election may simply be the setting for a far larger wave of disillusionment that is beating not just at the doors of Washington and Wall Street, but also against the towers of academia and the soundproofed studios of the mainstream media. Ask not for whom the bell tolls — the jangling you hear is a four alarm fire. And even John McCain may be just one more bystander.

Wretchard is commenting on the anger in the air at the McCain campaign stops. Of course there’s anger. Does that shock anybody with a principled bone in their body? The Senatorial deference simply has got to go. Barry NMI Obama is simply not, I repeat, NOT a good enough man to lead this country. If he was, there is no reason to run against him, is there, so why bother? Except and unless having President checked off on your To-Do list is Job One. That’s what burns my ass about McCain, and about 1 gajillion others — they act like they’ve earned it through sticking around long enough, and it’s their turn.

Go fight, bud. Or get out of the way, and let’s get on with Marxism. Why wait another few weeks? What’s the point?

Whether we like it or not, one of the two of them is going to win. I just can’t believe it’s going to be the novelty act, the half-black man of mysterious associations and no accomplishments. Mac may be boring, but he’s tested and familiar, and he has the ace in Sarah.

Actually, I think Wretchard is an American. He served in the U.S. Army long enough to become an automatic citizen.

I looked for a bio to be sure, and couldn’t find one. It’s a crappy title anyway…I’m not very good at this.

McCain needs to FIGHT, CLAW, and SCRATCH, and beat the other A-hole so we don’t have a repeat of the Dole campaign of 1996, I think.

This nomination had Dole written all over it from the get-go. Why is anyone surprised? But Obama is not Clinton. He is much stranger — and that takes doing. I have not given up hope that the electorate will get heebie-jeebies in the polling booths, and make the safer choice.
