Can you at least make a choice that doesn’t give the gag writers for Jay Leno and Jon Stewart the month off?
(The jokes started immediately: She won’t be able to hold her own against Joe Biden in a vice presidential debate. But wait until the swimsuit portion of the competition.)
Can you at least make a choice that doesn’t have Rush Limbaugh panting? (He called Palin a “babe.” It was another memorable moment in the ascent of women in this country.)
It’s this — teevee comedy shows can make fun, daytime radio shows can’t.
This lady is, as you might expected, ‘insulted’ at the choice of Sarah Palin. And anytime you can rile up a journalist to the point of making a fool of themselves in print, an angel gets his wings. Or a redneck gets his chaw. Or something. Whatever it is, it pleases me that Ms. Egomaniac Reimer has the vapors over not being pandered to. Now trot on back to the city desk and get tomorrow’s bird cage liner ready, OK?
