To Yak or Not To Yak?
Posted by TFG on 1st September 2008
I yakked. 3 miles. And man, I wish I hadn’t, because the internet tubes are exploding over a teenage pregnancy. I guess it’s the first one of this century?
One thing all the morons don’t get is that, as a parent, you do everything that you think is right to help your kids, and they still fuck up. You still love them, and you do whatever you gotta do, because your kid is your kid. This is a parental thing, I guess. You simply can’t possibly know until you’re there.
To be serious for a moment, I wish nothing but the best to the parents. Been there, done that, and it’s rough, but it’s worth every bit of rough, I can guarantee you. Keep your head down and take care of the kid. That baby, he, she, is what matters, not what a bunch of fools on the internet have to say. It’s hard for us ignoramuses to admit, ex-pecially when we’re old but probably harder when you’re young — but we’re just an eensy gust of wind that ruffles the top of the water. None of this current cattywampus means diddly, but that baby does. Don’t ever forget that. You won’t — I don’t need to tell you that.
