Adios, mofos

Posted by TFG on August 3rd, 2008

Not shutting the blog down, though few would notice if I did.

Nope, I’m off to beautiful Longview, TX for a two-week gig of 12-15 hour days in the hot Texas sun and the humid Texas Piney Woods. These tight-ass Wranglers will be gangster pants by the end of that mess. Fortunately, the hotel has a pool for the nightly dip to wash the dust off.

The good news is that the pace has accelerated at the Next Next Tiny Bidness, with only two months between big gigs, as opposed to four twixt the previous two, with some smallish work in between, and any number of proposals awaiting consideration. I’ve still got every finger crossed that we survive, and I’m working like a maniac to make that happen, too. Fun, fun.

OK, then — time to hit the road again.

Hope the Bidness does real good, drink a few ice cold cervezas before that nightly dip in the concrete pond,& it’ll probably keep your good humor & the wranglers up,have fun.

Hotel? Replace that rope belt with suspenders and you’ll avoid the teenage embarrassment.

Have a great time and we’ll read you in a couple of weeks.

I was told a long time age that Longview was a “Wide Open Town” I’m sure you find out

Ah, beautiful, downtown Longview. Maybe your hotel will offer free Internet. The Courtyard Marriot we stayed in at Arlington Saturday night for a Rangers-Toronto game charged for the privilege. Enjoy the pine smell, anyhow.

Cool video. I played for my boy and he is going to use the first minute of that song for his “Walk up” music when he goes to the plate in his HS home BB games.I really like that CD. Have fun in Longview.
