Of course - I got a new yak.
Fine. There’s still tomorrow.
It’s got rod holders, too. Time to unlimber the ultalight gear.

I’m jealous. I want one but the thought of strapping it to the top of my Eclipse makes me think otherwise. But I do want to float the Llano and catch bass and Rio Grande perch until my arms get tired.

I just read a good article on fly-fishing the Llano. It sounds pretty under-fished, and pretty un-crowded. I know I definitely want to get there. I’ll see if it’s online. Right now, though, I just want to get it in the water and see how she does. I’m gonna try to do a short Guadalupe run this afternoon.
That Mini-X is only 40 lbs. You’d have no problem strapping it to anything, even a moped. It’s kinda short at 9′, but that was exactly what I wanted for my fishing plans and my float/drink/paddle-only-occasionally/drink plans.
