Senate bows to Bush, approves surveillance bill - Yahoo! News

Bowing to President Bush’s demands, the Senate approved and sent the White House a bill Wednesday to overhaul bitterly disputed rules on secret government eavesdropping and shield telecommunications companies from lawsuits complaining they helped the U.S. spy on Americans.

Just as an observer of the American experiment, you have to admire the moronic circumlocution of the degree-holding journo. Last I checked, these chuckleheads are one of three co-equal legs of the government. That, last I checked, means they bow to nobody.

No, what the dipshit journo meant to say was, that the Congressoids took enough heat from the a-holes who elected them that they decided to approve this bill so they could get elected again and keep sucking at the taxpayer teat. Poltroons, in other words.
