Check what out, hoss? Need a link.
I’ll be in Longview for two-three weeks in August, and I need some direction. Boozing and eating direction. Pretty sure I’ll be headed east for poker when I can, heh heh.

sorry ’bout that lack of link. Let’s hope this works.
Temples of Tex-Mex
if it didn’t go to houstonpress.com and look for a story entitled Temples of Tex-Mex.
Can’t really help with Longview; I’ve been in the Houston area since ‘75. The two eating places I try to visit when I visit my folks are Bodacious BBQ on 4th and Johnny Caces on Marshall.

LMAO — I read that yesterday in the Dallas Observer. And yes I was drooling by the end of it. It’s a great article, and I’ve saved it to do a post on.
I could eat my weight in original Tex-Mex. Wait…I did. I don’t do it much anymore because of the carbs, but about once a month, I let fly with the #2 (two cheese enchiladas, a tamale, beef taco, and a chalupa.)
