Having one’s plane shot down does not make one a statesman. Sitting in Vietnamese prison does not teach one how to create and execute policy.
Well, how could it? Who expects it to do so?
Regardless, to most Americans, it’s better than sitting around church basements acting like you give a shit about poor people while the Chicago machine does it’s thing on your behalf. At the minimum, McCain was alone with his thoughts in that prison, and probably, just guessing here, decided which might be important. Or he’s a whore for Vietnamese communism. Take your pick.
As opposed to having tens of my moms chattering in NMI’s ear, while he tries to make sure he hears his wife. Which is what I imagine being a communiity activator or chancellor or whatever is all about, never having been one, of course. I’m betting it was a good lesson in trinagulation.
Still and all, nice to find the atomic scientist of the blogsphere chiming in, still. I should read lunatic blogs more often. They really are stinking genius on a stick.
