Work boots
Posted by TFG on June 3rd, 2008
Rana Kay was talking boots. These are my daily work boots. Justins on the left, Ariats on the right. Ariats are more comfortable but Justins are lighter, lacking a steel toe. Tomorrow the Ariats get their day in the dust.

Oh Lord, you know you’re dealing with a country boy when they do that double name thing. Either that or Mama’s really pissed and it’s time to hide.

bought a pair of Boulet, there made in Canada, they have nice deep scalloped tops, which fit my fat legs better than most.had these about 14mos,replaced both heels last week, drag my feet I guess.the guy who fixed em,who was a 4th gen. shoe & boot cobbler, told me there wasnt a tannery left in the USA.thats pretty damn depressing.course I should of known that, since we dont get a damn penny for good cow hides anymore.

For some reason, I thought you worked in the tech industry. Now you’re puttin’ up pictures of tractors and boots, and talkin’ about bein’ in the dust. What’s up with that?
And all this talk of dust, boots, tractors, and dust make me homesick for my native region - West Texas.

Well, I’m still pretty high-tech, just working in a new vertical (old dog’s tricks are new again), making new products and stuff. One of my major customers is a deeply involved with tractors and dust, hence the boots, which I’ve always worn anyway. It seems it’s dusty everywhere, anyway.
I’ll check out those Boulets — seen em somewhere. I’m pretty happy with my Luccheses, though I could stand finding a good workboot without a steel toe that’s as comfortable as these Ariats.
