A run to Houston tomorrow for the day. 3.5 hours each way for a 1 or 2 hour pitch. At least it’s on the west side near Sugarland, so I don’t have to go all the way into Houston proper, but I think it’s gridlock 24/7 out there, too, these days.
I’d love to stay an extra day and see friends, drink margaritas, and do some more business in H-Town, but the Next Next Tiny Bidness has no funds for that sort of tomfoolery. Now that it’s my money,* I look at my T&E with a far more critical eye. Maybe next quarter…or I scare up another appointment on super-short notice.

I just got into Chattanooga for the same thing tomorrow on a $1,100 plane ticket with flights delayed in St. Louis and Chicago, and bad accident and fire on I75 between the airport and the hotel that slowed things down even more.
Just remember that we make the world go round.

Man, I’m just running so hard on my own little hamster wheel. I don’t think I’m making much difference to the real world. Yet.
That sounds like such a lovely trip, though.
