I've been an Otis fan since my first year of blogging, back before he got all up in that poker stuff. Granted, he was a poker player then, but he didn't blog it like he does now.

Anyhow, someone have a drink for me whilst enjoying your poker fun, please. I can't drink or eat anything at the moment. Shattered a tooth last night and am suffering mightly. Although, come to think of it, enough alcohol could make me forget the pain. Something I must consider carefully. After all, it's only going on 5:30am here.

I wish I could share your enjoyment of poker - I've played some, not well, but even winning did not make me want to keep going back for more. I would rather sit around and drink and BS than gamble. But that's just me, you guys go for it and enjoy the hell out of yourselves.

I get sometimes where I want a different drink - usually a round of a few days or weeks on odd varieties of beer does it. Bass, Dos Equis, Sam Adams (haven't tried them all, some I don't like, but Summer Ale is fine), even some of the yuppie stuff like Fat Tar, etc. Sometimes I go off into wines, just for dinner, of course, couple of bottles of riesling with whatever.

But I always come back to Budweiser. My one true love.

For a *really classy* alternative to beer, Steel Reserve (a malt liquor, 8.1% ABV, and $1.29 per 24 ounce can) and the lemonade flavor of Kool-Aid make a fine shandy, when you dilute the mixture to beer strength of about 5% ABV. Not that I'd *admit* to drinking it, though.
