wcbstv.com - N.Y. Senator Pushes For Cameras On Cop Handguns
The device could create a critical visual and audio record of police shootings for use in court, said state Sen. Eric Adams, a Brooklyn Democrat and former police officer. He is drumming up support for testing the cameras with the state police SWAT squad.
This Adams douchebag is in the pocket of whoever’s making this piece of crap. Probably his brother or his daddy, given New York. Somebody ask him why he didn’t carry one on his gun when he was a cop, if it was such a great idea. The technology existed, yet he chose not to use it? Why would that be? The answer is, “Because I couldn’t make a lot of money off it.” If he says anything different, he’s a lying sack of shit.

That’s one possibility. Could be a political ploy to pander to the crowd in the wake of the Sean Bell acquittals too.

I’m all for having an AV record of everything a cop does on duty. I’m not sure hanging it off of the weapon he uses to defend himself is the answer though. Another 4-8 oz is critical.

This guy probably also has a cousin in the holster business. Put something extra on the barrel and you’ll have to redesign the holster.

It’s possible that he’s in the pay of the trial attorneys. Remember what a field day Rodney King had, and playing the entire video showed that the other men, who did not resist, were unharmed, and the video also showed that King got up twice after being tased and also that the cops, all small men, did not hit him anywhere that they were forbidden to hit him. And that he had a record and was speeding.
But still look at the fame and money that accrued, mostly to the trial lawyers. After all, a few minutes’ face time on CNN is worth a million bucks to a hustler.
I’m an old-fashioned West Texan who misses the days when some sorry shit was shot “trying to escape from jail.”

OT - Watched the game against the mumble-mumbles last night. Damn, most of the time it looked like the were on a power play at even strength. He who shall not be named’s performance in the last minute was incredible. Hard to believe they can do this three more times though.
