I can claim both. Al DiMeola, as the warm up for some other band/singer. Just him and another feller on the stage, outdoors. Mid/Late 80’s maybe? He closed with that “Race with the Devil on a Spanish Highway.”

There’s some pretty impressive DiMeola stuff on YouTube. I always loved that speed-picking Spanish-tinged sound of his. I would have killed to see him live back in the day.

I haven’t heard Al DiMeola’s name brought up in a while, or Weather Report either. Music today sure does suck.
