Whose idiotic idea was it to give the Olympics, a celebration of the individual athlete (for the most part), to the ChiComms?
I’ll buy their shirts and their underwear and their 2-of-5-DOA electronics, but don’t ask me to pretend that they give a damn about a regular human being achieving something above and beyond the state. Show me the Chinese Jim Thorpe or the Chinese Jesse Owens.

Well, they were given the Olympics and the multi-billion dollar cash infusion because the pantywaist do-gooders of the IOC thought it would shame the Chinese into possibly treating their people a little better. Idiots.
When have inherently BAD governments behaved nicer just because someone gave them money? Is there ANY historical precedent for this?

The only dumber people than the IOC are the protesters who think that their token protests and traffic obstructions mean shit to Chinese lawmakers 4000 miles away.
