If those are the only choices I have, then: ribs (vinegary not sweet sauce), scotch (decent single malt — bourbon tastes like aftershave smells), and cole slaw (the only way to go with vinegary ribs).

I suspect that not having Gen Wesley Clark advising the Rangers might have helped. The Rangers really don’t need any “Perfumed Princes” I think.

I don’t trust any gummint employees or new laws. Next thing you know, that APC will be used to kill you for not wearing your seatbelt or to roll over your house because you didn’t give your kid the Ritalin his pubic-schoolmarm prescribed, in her infinite pubic-university-educated wisdom.

It wouldn’t be so bad if he just parked in front of the courthouse, but just wait. They’ll have to find something to use it for in order to justify having it. Before you know it they’ll be invading someone’s house to bust a couple of losers smoking pot or something. Or worse, they’ll blow up someone’s house they think has drugs, but they won’t find any.

One of our local county Sheriffs just got an APC for the many situations that require one here in the Midlands of South Carolina. Must be a midland thing.

Probably thanks to the Texas Rangers being involved, and no thanks to Major General Sheriff APC of Midland By-God County.

Got it in one. I’m corresponding with someone involved in that entire hullaballoo and she says that not only is there a ton of information that hasn’t been reported yet (that she can’t talk about due to a gag order), but the sheer size of the place (over 1700 acres) and the amount of things they had there makes it a miracle that everything went as smoothly as it did.
