Absolut Perfect Alternative

Anybody bothered by Absolut’s artsy-fartsy Mexican fantasy should probably be boozing it up with Tito’s from Austin, TX. I think it’s an excellent vodka, and I generally keep a handle-bottle around. The reviews of Tito’s around the interwebs are pretty good, too. Don’t you wish you could get paid for reviewing booze?

Good thinking. I forgot about Tito’s. I bought a bottle of this stuff for the wife back at Christmas. It didn’t last long.

Bozhe moy!
I have drunk a lot of vodka in my life. Much of it in Russia, ice cold, straight, and chased with bread, pickles, and in good times, caviar.
I’ve had good vodka, bad vodka, and in between.
I’ve taunted Russian friends that Grey Goose is the best vodochka in the world. There have almost been fights.
That Tito stuff has not been in my top 100 of vodkas. I wish it could be. I’m proud to be an adopted Texan. I love everything about this state. If someone from another place criticized Tito’s, I’d argue with them.
But I can’t say that’s a good vodka.
Sir, say the word and we’ll get za stolom with a bunch of russkie and test out some vodka. We can throw a 1.5 butilochka of Tito’s into the mix and have much fun arguing the quality of the various types.
I can pretty much guarantee that you’ll be swayed…..

got a couple of my yankee friends to try Titos & they actualy converted from Goose, probaly cause its $10 cheaper a 5th. I personaly like Titos, has a little more taste than the gooses, belvederes & most of the other high end stuff.could of been that mis-spent youth of drinking wolfschmidt, seagrams, gordons etc.that scarred my taste buds forever.as for absolout they must age it in old 55gal drums from Ollies junk yard, has a terrible matalic after taste.
