I’m pleased to introduce the SkyNet Infrantry…

This thing upsets me on a molecular level…

I feel bad for the poor sonofabitch who always gets stuck walking backwards manning the front of that rig. That being said, this is why you train with Mummenschantz and get certified through Cirque du Soleil.

If you are thinking, BG, that this is two guys in a suit like the horse/jackass Halloween suit - no way. No human has legs shaped like that, for one thing. You were just funnin’, right?

    That thing scares me too

  4. TFG Says:

The most frightening thing is the way that damn thing recovers from the ice-slip. Once they get rid of the droning fly-buzz, I say we stick various fake heads on them and send them out just to scare people. Hell, keep the buzz, but put Scarlett Johanson’s face and boobs ON BOTH ENDS! That would be frighteningly awesome.

You know these robots are going to kill us all, right?

  5. Diller Says:

like to see what a couple of goodole boys bout 2/3s thru a case of nat/ice and a bottle of Rebel Yell, with a pack of good blackmouth curs would do with that thing.

I’d strap a cooler and shit on it, and make it go to the lake, follow me around with all my junk. Well, I’d rather have a nice Mule or that 4wd Kubota that I could pimp out first. Then this contraption.

So, I was thinking…could you hit those knees with a 308 FMJ to knock it out? They sure move a lot, you’d have to be a hell of a shot. Probably just some logging chain will do the job, but you know they’ll have robotic guns soon enough.

Paint gun pellets filed with super glue.

Oh, and the robotic guns have been around for a while. Patriot missile batteries and phalanx guns on ships have been in use for many years. IIRC, the Army has something that detects incoming fire and using the calculated trajectory returns fire before the impact of the incoming round. It is all just a matter of getting the energy source and payload sufficient to haul the barrels and ammo around. Heck, the drones already have this down without the trouble of climbing of heaps of rubble. Seeing these things moving from battlefields to civilian areas for law enforcement is a little scary though.

Officially my son’s favorite vid. Fuckin’ Star Wars
