Would you call this a “move to the left”?

Posted by TFG on February 19th, 2008

Mouth Of The Potomac - NY Daily News

Another new wrinkle from Hillary Clinton today: she wants a presidential summit on gun control.

It scares me no little bit that a major candidate, albeit one who’s mostly whipped, can say these things out loud.

Worse, I can guarantee you that Barry is no RKBA supporter. Fuck, he’s Chicago through and through. But what’s one measly 10th of the Bill of Rights, so we can get some Hope & Change up in here? Some must sacrifice so that all may bloom.

    Wow. They could have just stayed on autopilot, and I would have voted for her over McCain, and then they have to shoot themselves in the head. So to speak.

    Larry Kudlow nailed this best, saying Obama move farther left faster than Hillary making promises to win the votes of the lunatic left fringe — one government check after another.

    Meanwhile on hope, Emily Dickinson wrote:

    Hope is the thing with feathers
    That perches in the soul,
    And sings the tune–without the words,
    And never stops at all,

    And sweetest in the gale is heard;
    And sore must be the storm
    That could abash the little bird
    That kept so many warm.

    I’ve heard it in the chillest land,
    And on the strangest sea;
    Yet, never, in extremity,
    It asked a crumb of me.

    Good thing to, since crumbs are all we are going to have left.

    ….I’m in the history books as having at least one vote for Texas Governor in the past. I might have another entry as having one vote for me as Repub Pres nominee…or I might vote for my dog….or my dead dog, Ranger….I loved that poor bastard….

    Holy cheeses crytes & shiite muzzlums…

    Looks like the idea of voting for Hilarity in the open Texas primary, just to keep the Dems fractious until their convention, isn’t such a good idea, after all. But, we all know, everyone’s wicked stepmother would say anything to snag a few extra votes from the lunatic fringe. Besides, passing a law to take away your guns is one thing. Actually getting them is a pony of a different color altogether.
