I can't really get into NASCAR, though I really tried in high school, so I don't have a dog in this fight, but it amuses me to no end to hear arseholes in bars go on about the superiority of Fords versus "Shivolays" in the real world based on the performance of the NASCAR equivalents, though it's not as much fun as listening to the arguments as to whether Missouri supported the Union or the Confederacy in the War Between the States, which used to lead to knife- and gun-fights back before it became to easy to check such things online. We're spoiled by 900hp and 200mph bump drafting. And I like 'em to run those 500 miles in these fancy new cars. Of course, it's not for everybody, and it was likely never meant to be.
