Hayes Carll Rules my iPod

Posted by TFG on September 28th, 2007

I don’t know why this grabs me, except it sounds like he’s describing a standard Saturday nite at any random honky-tonk. Teenage cuties / politickin’ / Hare Krishnas / feed me chicken

Gorgeous stuff…I love that loping beat…makes you push the skinny pedal down real hard, no? Carll’s voice is so damn close to RWH that it makes me giggle.

Says he’s gonna be at Floore’s soon. Might go out that night.

    Scott,

I just attended a songwriter show that featured hayes, walt wilkins and brandon rhyder. it was coporate shin-dig and it ended up being one of the better nights of music for me in recent memory. cant wait for his lost highway records release…

I’m definitely going to get to Floore’s for the show. I hope he’s got the full band, cuz I love the sound.

  3. Kelly @ The Knob Says:

I am sure he will, even with his rise in popularity, Floore’s is still a prime gig for him. His bands live version of “Chickens” is a highlight!

That’s just a friendly sound. Hey, hey.
