As if we couldn’t have guessed

Unshocking shocker of the day of the month:
The Federal Government of the United States can not run a bordello and make money.
One cathouse. Just one. Not “one in every state”. Not “one whether you think you need it or not”. Just one single legal bawdy-house with an already-established customer base.
And they couldn’t keep it out of the red.
As you might guess, LD is less than sanguine about the hopes of revenooer health care.

It’s funny, but lacks sufficient detail to understand. I mean, come on, how could they possibly lose money?

Just a guess based on years of observation, but I’m gonna say “layers of bureaucratic overhead.” There’s also the “governments don’t know how the hell a market works” hypothesis.

Even the government could figure out this market. But I agree they do tend to lard their operations with too many chiefs and indians.
