say they were holding an election for God
So, that’s something to feel good about…I’m not the only one drinking on Easter.
The intellectual exercise of campaigning to be God is slightly humourous, though. A chicken in every pot would be cake. The interesting part would be to see what kind of dummies would vote for the chicken in every pot God over the world peace God.

I’m surprised he wasn’t wrestled to the ground for daring to touch his Majesty but good call on that one. I understand Cheney was also in attendance. Without the intervention, Pelosi could well be standing at a podium right now being sworn in as Number 44.
Courtesy of your betters…
(Newshog is a current favorite of the Memeorandum crew…a wonderful reminder of why I took that bunch out of my bookmarks. But it’s an Easter Sunday, and I’m gripped in Global Warming’s wintry paw here in Mexico, Jr., and I’m bored. Newshog has a paean to LSD, an illegal and harmful drug that is also celebrating an anniversary of sorts today, if you want to bother with it. Perhaps you can chime in with a remembrance of your last trip. Chime in over there, I mean…I don’t really like you dirty smelly hippies.)

More triple bogies than a round with me. I think they’re all drunk…I keep expecting the cart girl to wheel into view.

Need another tallboy, Mr. Woods?

How about a nice turkey sandwich?
UPDATE: Proof of my greatness: only one blogger on my blogroll seems to even be aware that there is a major golf tournament going on. I really, really hope that I’m never so old that I don’t care about the Masters. I mean, I hate all the hushed-tones Bobby-Jones reverence BS, but it’s a really nice, sweet-looking golf course that demands one hell of a lot of a golfer, and they will never let my hayseed ass play on it, no matter how much money I ever decided to throw at them. I kind of like that level of commitment to Sport & Tradition. The commercials are really whipping my ass, though.
ANOTHER UPDATE: Won by a tearful kid who thanked Jesus & his granddaddy, and then went over and kissed his wife and their baby. That’s nice. I love Tiger, and I will cheer his next Masters win, but he sounded like every hacker on the face of the earth bitching about the crazy wind on that par 3. Heh, heh.

Chicago 2, Dallas 3
Got $100 down, at 15-1, on the Stars to win the Cup, while I was in Vegas a few weeks ago. I know nothing about hockey, except that I love the game, #3 on my official Sports List. Now, if I can just navigate my way to some hockey-watching on the teevee over the next month or two. This town doesn’t have much of a hockey fan-base, being as it was Mexico for several hundred years, and there’s never been much to draw in Yankees missing their Zamboni fix.
If you perhaps know of a Stars-watching fan club here in the old Ess Aye, be sure to let me know.
