How Ancient Am I?

I kinda want to see this picture show that’s out now, 300. Have you heard of it? It’s about the Spartans, at Thermopylae. A pretty cool piece of history, if Gates of Fire is any kind of guide.
Anyway, I don’t even know how to look up a place to go see it on the internet tubes. Back in 1995, that was important to me, knowing how to look up movies. Anymore, not so much.

Show times for San Antonio theaters. I highly recommend 300.

If you log in to Yahoo and give them your zip code, they include a list of all the theaters in your area and what’s playing on them.

I don’t think Herodotus’ version is too dry, it’s actually quite succinct. Of course, you do have to slog through about 500 pages to get to it. Admittedly, all the geneology is worse than that in the Bible.

As an unschooled hayseed, it’s very unlikely that I’ll ever get to the original versions, unless I get rich and retire to my ranch with some eyesight left. And someone to talk about it with…
