Funny but Unfunny

From Ace:
Liberals are now claiming a strange new theory of executive power — that it’s the bureaucrats, the “experts,” the permanent government in DC, that have almost all of the actual power in the executive branch, and the President is acting criminally when he presumes that he is the boss of them.
Funny, I don’t imagine this novel theory of unelected-bureaucrats-being-the-true-decisionmakers-in-the-executive-branch will hold much sway when there’s a (D) in the Oval Office.
Not funny…the (D) in the office of the Preznit will believe the same thing. This is what their stretch goal is — making you (well, 300MM idiots in America watching American Idol) believe that the professionals know better about what’s best for us. Because, face it — at a certain level, the faceless gummint bureaucracy is socialist to the core. The higher they raise that bar, the more help you can expect to receive from the government. Hell, we’ve got people talking universal health care and government caps on energy usage. Check the Brits for living, breathing proof of this theorem — it’s where I got it from, after all.
We’re so far down that path that I personally don’t expect that my grandson will have much of an inkling about individualism and personal responsibility. Except, Americans can will always surprise you. I sure hope they do.
