Rough Old Day
Posted by TFG on 3rd January 2007
Driving six hours in the rain on an interstate that’s under construction for 5.75 hours ain’t so good for my disposition. Neither is the prospect of shampooing with soap and brushing my teeth with tap water. I have to do those because my dop kit no longer contains those. Thanks to a bunch of Muslim whackjobs and our newest shiniest bureaucracy, those are in a ziploc bag somewhere else. Where? Who knows? Probably in a landfill in Tulsa, the last place I traveled, and I’m pretty sure I don’t remember picking them up. Of course, this cheap-ass hotel has no shampoo. So, I’m off to buy necessaries at the freaking gas station, when the last thing I want to do is plant my ass in the driver’s seat.
And I did something to my shoulder, like sleep on it wrong, and it. is. killing. me. All those years throwing heat in the minors is finally getting to me.
And I’m watching (listening to) another bowl game, and what else comes on? Another stupid GDMFSOBing marching band. Nobody but their parents want to watch a damn marching band. Every bowl game halftime for the rest of eternity should be forced to replay the last ten plays from scrimmage of the Boise St.-OU game from Monday night.
Good night to you.
