Shudder

Told ya so…

She also said Democrats would focus on improving the quality and affordability of health care _ a touchy matter for the former first lady, who in 1993 led her husband’s calamitous attempt to overhaul the nation’s health care system. The failure of that effort helped Republicans win control of both the Senate and House the following year.

“Health care is coming back,” Clinton warned, adding, “It may be a bad dream for some.”

If the end result is more, better conservatives, then I’m all for this one. Let’s watch and see how it plays out. My bet is there will be zero talk about how much it costs…nannies don’t do that, since it’s someone else paying the bill. That part will be up to us.

PS Who wants to bet on the next new Assault Weapons Ban? Gungrabbers been ignored for a while now…

Do What?

Posted by TFG on 13th November 2006

I don’t think I’ve ever missed a Monday Night Football game that I was physically able to watch. The last two weeks, I’ve completely and totally forgotten that it was on. Is it because I’m just busy as hell on Mondays and generally doing work-at-home work? Or is it because I can’t stand the game presentation?

The latter, sir…the coincidence of Tony Kornheiser and Joe Theeeeeeeeeeeeesman is simply more than my brain can take. It’s such an incomprehensible, monumentally bad pairing…almost as if someone had read my mind to find out what would ruin my feetsball-watching experience.

Plus, by the about noon-thirty on Sunday, I’ve no need for more of those GDMFSOBing Johnny Cougar Chevy commercials. Can we bring back the Bud frogs or something? More Jack in the Box? Even a tough, smart lawyer talking respect & justice & whiplash collars would be an improvement. Hell, paid political ads, for that matter.

So Very Unfortunate

Posted by TFG on 13th November 2006

I’ve got to go to Tulsa for two days, all by my lonesome, with no co-workers, and I only have two meetings scheuled and they’re more than 24 hours apart. What ever shall I do with my free time?
