Rather than watching some good beisbol, I got some work done. And so tonight’s rainout gives me four straight evenings of World Serious, starting tomorrow night. I’ll take that.
Go Tiggers. Mostly, though, Go Baseball!, and give me all four.

…someone is pissing in Steven Jobs’ Wheaties.
Jon Johansen, the 20-something hacker widely known for helping crack the piracy protections on DVDs several years ago, is taking on Apple Computer again. He has reverse-engineered Apple’s FairPlay, the digital rights management technology used to make iPod and iTunes a closed system.
Me, I’ve quit using the Steven Jobs’ Perpetual Fee Money Machine since I found out I can’t put the stupid songs I bougt there on a stupid MP3 CD to play in the stupid truck.* What I really and truly want is some egghead to come up with a way to strip out all that Apple DRM crap so I can convert everything to MP3s. For now, though, it’s back to buying CDs, and eMusic.
From my little buddie, Dr. Messerstien’s son…
* Yeah, I know about the stupid trick of burning an audio CD and re-ripping. Unfortunately, I am a hard-working right-wing conservative capitalist, and lack countless hours of time to fill with trivialities. I bought the sonofabitch - I should be able to play it where I want.
