Michael Blowhard located two classic bits of funks on YouTube, and that made me scurry off for two of my favorites:

Whatever happened to the white-boy fro, anyway? Never mind…let’s hope it’s resting peacefully, never to return.
I miss funk a whole lot. Rap/hip-hop just slaughtered it, and now it sticks little pieces of it’s bones into those boring-ass spoken-word soliliquies-with-a-drum-machine. But when’s funk making a comeback? Where’s the next Parliament or Gap Band? Seems like they’ve recycled everything else, and at least funk is fun.
