Now it’s personal…

This is going to be one of the most bloody battle of wills I’ve ever had with my own self:
Nikon’s latest data point represents a delicious addition to the line: the D50, due next week. It takes the same spectacular photos as the bestselling D70S - for a list price of $750.
I’ve got three $300+ Nikkor AF lenses ready to go for this beauty. And I have no idea if I really, Really, REALLY want to make this plunge today. I can’t possibly describe how much I miss SLR photography and how much I hate point-and-shoot. Yet, I just know I’m going to get screwed on the deal…I just freaking know it.
But…does this mark only the first step in lower D-SLR prices? Am I a fool for wanting to use my beautiful, sweet, clean Nikkors? Oh, dear — it is so tempting to be waiting down at Competitive Camera for the truck to pull up to the dock…must get busy and focus on making money, not spending it.
