Kevin Micheal Grace - The Last Laugh
I don’t know if you’re following the sundering of Canada’s parliamentary system of government and concomitant descent into full-on wackadoo banana republic, but KMG has an exceedingly eloquent post about it (which I shall not excerpt.)
Colby Cosh, too, of course.
Jane, if you want to jump in here with some thoughts, lemme know. I’ve only barely caught myself up with it this weekend, so I could use some inside info.

I leave the blog for a week and all hell breaks loose. Short version: I’ve never seen so much fainting, swooning, and handwringing as from a bunch of Conservative girly men who really thought their blatant desire for power would outweigh the facts that a) it’s spring; b) it’s spring; c) the Libs promised an election in the fall; d) there’s nothing tying this to the PM yet; and e) it’s spring, almost summer.
The best case of the Conservative vapours was Deputy Leader Peter McKay, dumped by the lovely Belinda, saying in at least 50 interviews he was too overwrought to talk about it. Indeed.
Excellent drama….and now back to our regularly scheduled spring.
